Flying Bark Joins the Fold
Independent animation powerhouse Flying Bark and next-generation franchise development studio Lightfold today announced a new collaboration for original production.
The partnership is the result of a shared belief in building sustainable models for creator-led storytelling, premium animation and building stronger connections between artists and audiences.
Flying Bark is a well established studio producing world-class traditional 2D, hybrid and CG, animation expertise, working with exceptional global talent and a proven track record delivering award-winning original productions and international franchises.
The studio recently produced animation for Stranger Things: Tales From ‘85 (Netflix), Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender (Paramount) and original series, Shaun Tan’s Tales from Outer Suburbia, and is now working on Ghostbusters: Night Shift (Sony/Netflix), Clash of Clans series (Netflix), Minecraft series (Netflix), and original feature film, Zac Power.
Lightfold, co-founded by Atlanta-based producer Forrester Kane and Nashville-based content creator and executive producer Olan Rogers (Final Space on Adult Swim), brings a bold creator-first model, a rich multimedia content flywheel incorporating games, comics and series, and a passionate global fan community that is helping redefine how independent animation is financed, distributed and grown.
The team successfully launched the pilot for Godspeed in 2023, which secured a multi-million dollar distribution deal after achieving over 2.2M views on YouTube, being selected for eight international festivals, and winning Telly and Collision Awards.
