Tales from Outer Suburbia has been selected to screen at MOVE Summit Scotland 2026, one of the flagship industry events for the Scottish animation sector.

This year, MOVE Summit is introducing its inaugural Screening Day, a new fourth day of the conference dedicated to short and feature film screenings, taking place at Filmhouse, Edinburgh on 21 February 2026. The event showcases standout work from across the global animation industry, offering a space for professionals to come together, share ideas, and be inspired.

Tales from Outer Suburbia has been chosen for the Non-Competition Shorts category, placing the series among a curated international selection of animated works from the past year.

Inspired by Shaun Tan’s beloved illustrated book, the series’ inclusion is a testament to the work of its cast and crew and the growing international recognition of Australian animation. Attendees of MOVE Summit are encouraged to attend the screening and experience the series as part of this global showcase.
