Tales From Outer Suburbia Selected for Prestigious Prix Jeunesse International 2026

Tales from Outer Suburbia

Highly Spirited and Flying Bark Productions’ premium animated series Tales From Outer Suburbia has been officially selected to screen at Prix Jeunesse International 2026, the world’s longest-running children’s and youth television festival.

The festival will take place 29 May – 3 June 2026 in Munich, Germany, with Tales From Outer Suburbia screening in the 7–10 Years Fiction category.

Held every two years, Prix Jeunesse International recognises the most outstanding and innovative children’s screen content from around the world. The awards are determined by the votes of more than 400 children’s media experts who attend the festival, making selection a significant international achievement.

The selection continues the strong international momentum for Tales From Outer Suburbia, which brings Shaun Tan’s acclaimed illustrated stories to the screen in a visually rich and emotionally resonant animated series.
