Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 Showcased at Next on Netflix ANZ

Flying Bark Productions was proud to take part in the inaugural ANZ Next on Netflix showcase, highlighting the scale and ambition of Australian storytelling and talent on the global stage.

CEO Barbara Stephen joined Netflix’s newly appointed Content Director for ANZ, Amanda Duthie, for a live on-stage conversation about Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, the world-expanding animated series produced by Flying Bark across its three global studios. Set in the same universe as Stranger Things, the new animated series sees the original characters facing new monsters and uncovering a paranormal mystery threatening their town.

During the discussion, Stephen spoke about how animation allowed the studio to strike the right balance between suspense and family fun, and how the team captured the spirit of classic 1980s Saturday-morning cartoons. The audience was also treated to a first look at the vibrant and high energy Tales From ’85 teaser trailer.
